Quality Testing and Certification Support Scheme
Maharashtra State Innovation Society (MSInS), Government of Maharashtra
Reimburses Maharashtra startups recognised by DPIIT for third-party product testing and certification at NABL or BIS recognised labs. It covers testing needed for product development, standards compliance, regulatory approval or market readiness, up to a lifetime limit of ₹5 lakh per startup. Routine production quality checks and consultancy fees are not covered.

Who can apply
- DPIIT recognised startup
- Incorporated or registered in Maharashtra, with operations there
- Testing done at a NABL accredited or BIS recognised lab, except in approved cases
- Testing is for an innovative product, not routine production checks
- Claim filed within 12 months of the invoice date, after full payment
How to apply
- 1Complete the testing at an eligible lab and pay in full
- 2Submit the application with invoices, payment proof, test reports and CA declarations
- 3MSInS verifies it and pays into the startup's account, subject to funds
The catch
This suits hardware and physical products more than software. Earlier assistance counts toward the ₹5 lakh limit, and payment depends on funds being available.
