IndiaAI Compute Portal
IndiaAI Mission, Ministry of Electronics and IT
Gives approved Indian AI builders cloud GPUs and related services at government-negotiated rates, with a subsidy on top that is requested when you apply. Startups, MSMEs, researchers and students can apply online. It suits teams training or running models that would otherwise pay full market price for compute.
What you can get
Up to 40% off the cost of AI compute
Do you repay it?
No
Type

Where
All of India
Current status
The portal, last updated 2 November 2026, shows Apply Now with no deadline. A March 2026 PIB release says more than 38 thousand GPUs are onboarded and 76 startup and MSME projects are approved.
Who can apply
- Startups and MSMEs: DPIIT recognition and AI or ML experience
- Startups and MSMEs: annual revenue of ₹50 lakh or funding of ₹100 lakh
- Early-stage startups: 4 years of AI or ML experience
- Early-stage startups: a letter from the IndiaAI CEO or an officer of Joint Secretary rank or above
How to apply
- 1Log in to the portal with DigiLocker, e-Pramaan or Jan Parichay
- 2Complete user registration and wait for verification
- 3Submit a compute request with a draft bill and your subsidy request
- 4Wait for approval by the project management unit
The catch
Pre-revenue founders may struggle with the revenue, funding or letter tests. The subsidy covers part of the bill, so you still pay. A separate up to 25% figure applies to sovereign model builders, not general users.
We read this on the official page on 4 November 2026. Rules and dates change, so confirm there before you apply. Founders Wing is not connected to this scheme, does not help with applications and never charges for access to it.
