Startup Odisha Monthly Allowance

A monthly allowance for one year for startups recognised by Startup Odisha that show some early traction: outside equity, a published patent, a government grant, or steady revenue. Startups with at least 50% equity held by women, transgender, SC, ST, SEBC or disabled founders get a higher rate. A startup can take this only once.

Who can apply
- Recognised by Startup Odisha, within 7 years of incorporation and turnover up to ₹25 crore
- Equity of ₹5 lakh to ₹1 crore from SEBI registered funds or angel networks, or
- A published patent, or a government funding sanction letter, or
- Revenue run rate of ₹50,000 to ₹10 lakh a month for three months

The catch
After the first three months you must submit utilisation reports with bills to keep getting paid. The 2016 policy is awaiting a replacement, so the rules could change soon.
